Testimonials

Please take a look at the wonderful feedback Andy Tyrrell has had from children, parents and staff across various schools in Devon.

I just wanted to thank you and Sharon for running such a great holiday club! Reuben had a really lovely time and mum said that she could hear the children’s screams of delight whilst outside playing from her house in the morning. Thanks again. We will definitely be enrolling him with you next holiday break!

Ayesha (Parent at Kenn Primary School)

Just to say a massive thank you to you both, the kids clearly had an amazing time yesterday! They were full of stories today. I hope you manage to have a rest for the rest of half term and well done for your awesome work! Your support is very much appreciated, going way in the holidays is something I hate, but knowing they are safe and in a fun environment makes it all so much easier.

Holiday Club Testimonials

We would just like to say how great Mr T is. My daughter who left Clyst St Mary 2 years ago still talks about him. She loved her sports but lacked confidence. He made her a sports leader and from that her confidence grew and she is now planning to take PE as a GCSE. My son is still at Clyst St Mary and when asked what he thought about him he replied, he’s really cool and is so good! That’s from a 10 year old! Please give mr T the recognition he deserves. Go Mr Tyrrell!

Dawn (Parent at Clyst St Mary Primary School, Exeter)

The Cleveland family, especially Freya & Maisie think he’s the absolute best. They love his gymnastics after school, his football at lunch times and they have spent the day with him at holiday clubs. He has a real passion for his job and connection with the children. They call him Mr T and they love him!

Kirsten (Parent at Clyst St Mary Primary School, Exeter)

What can I say about Mr Tyrrell apart from he is amazing 🙂 Our daughter struggles with PE but Mr Tyrrell never gives up on her. He always greets her with a smile and even when our daughter does not have PE he always says hello Elizabeth, how are you? He is always smiling and is very warm and friendly to the children and parents. We as a family think he is the best PE teacher EVER. Thank you Mr Tyrrell for helping our daughter never give up on sport.

Clare (Parent at Clyst St Mary Primary School, Exeter)

He always goes the extra mile for the children and is fully involved in school life. My children love his PE lessons, which are clearly inclusive and fun for all. Mr Tyrrell is a great role model for the children, especially at Kenn where there are no male teachers. He takes an interest in all the children and is always polite and professional towards the parents.

Rachel (Parent at Kenn CofE Primary School, Exeter)

Harry, Claudia and Heidi can’t wait to get to breakfast club when they know Mr Tyrrell is working. He looks out for each pupil and ensures that everyone is involved and happy with what they are doing. He is full of energy and enthusiasm for his job and most of all, you can tell that he genuinely loves the kids. “He is simply the best teacher” quote Harry!

Parent Testimonials

Andy is fabulous. He is an excellent, highly motivated member of staff. He is passionate about the children making progress and puts a great deal of effort into setting up exciting lessons. He develops strong, but professional relationships with the children and knows them well. He spots who needs special care or a different approach. He knows what they need to move them forward with their skills and is always encouraging and positive. He is a massive team player and will help anybody with anything, way beyond his remit – for example, the other icy morning, he gritted our pathways and car park. He is consistently friendly and cheerful and just a joy to have on the team. He is liked by children and staff alike.

Jo (Head of Teaching and Learning at Kenn CofE Primary School, Exeter)

Andy is an inspiration to our children. He has helped children develop a love of PE who were previously reluctant. He is supportive and helpful towards staff, showing a positive attitude, whilst always remaining very serious about the importance of PE. The biggest accolade that can be placed on Andy is that when I announce in assembly that Mr T will be doing PE for the forthcoming term, I am always met with a resounding YES!!!
